We were made aware of Brownie needing a home and made the inquiry to Black Dog Walk organization. We knew right away that Brownie would fit in our family. We adopted this sweet dog to join our 11-year old black Lab, Pongo. Brownie and Pongo became immediate buddies. The first night here we had 2 “beds” set up for them to sleep. Pongo was in his and Brownie went to his. A short time later I went to check on them and they had switched beds! “That’s ok you guys, it’s all up to you.” A little later I again checked on them and both were on the same bed! Definitely Buddies!! They played together in the back yard. Brownie, in some type of dog understanding, taught Pongo to chase and fetch the famous tennis balls that he loved. They were taken on some good walks together out on the rail trail in Willard. These two became inseparable. Both wanting to get through the door at the same time and back in at the same time! What a pleasure to have Brownie in our lives. Brownie was an easy going, well behaved and sweet dog that we fell in love with. He only ate croissants one time when we weren’t looking. I am sure he shared them with PongoJ
Brownie did have a fatty cell removed from his side. He was given excellent care and was recovering as expected. Again, Pongo didn’t leave his side. A true friendship had developed in short amount of time.
We would like to thank Black Dog walking for letting us adopt Brownie. We were blessed to have him in our lives for the short time we did. A thank you also to Animal ER for the wonderful care provided to Brownie. North Ogden Animal Hospital has donated to the Arbor Foundation to have a tree planted in Brownie’s name in the Tahoe National Forest. We thank everyone for the love and care that have been shown to us.
Brownie had many caring friends along the way of his life. Many memories had been made. Each one unique for each one of us that had the sweet dog named Brownie enter our lives. Rest Easy Brownie. You were very much loved.
We have include a special picture of Brownie and our dog to share.
